Although this book is quite short, and includes instructions on only one shape of paper bead, if you've never made one, the directions are clear and easy to follow (and there is a quick note about trying other shapes).

I found one item I thought was probably a typo (you are instructed to cut a strip of paper 2.5 inches long, which a) does not match the photographs, and b) would give an extremely thin and potentially weak bead), but otherwise it's a well-written set of instructions.

If you've made paper beads before, you might get a few new ideas for what papers to recycle (or you might already have thought of the ones the author lists), but you won't learn anything new besides that.

If you are looking for lots of variety, templates, or advanced instructions, you'll be disappointed with this download. If you're looking for reviews and advice on what products work best and which don't work well at all (like glues, finishes, what options work as a "core" to wrap your paper around), that's not covered here. The audience for this item would be beginners.

And, yes, you can certainly find instructions like this somewhere on the internet for free. The author isn't charging a lot for a version you can access on your Kindle, however, and this is a clear and easy place to begin.

You'll get more info from Google results than in this booklet. Most of the pages consist of printing and copyright info and photos. The actual instructions are maybe 2 pages long. Of course, you get what you pay for, but as I said, more and better info for free is on the internet.
Text crafts to a different level it's amazing what you can do with recycling
Great book gave me answers that I couldn't get elsewhere will definitely be making these beads. Beads came out great. Fun....
Looking forward to making my own beads. I have made a few a couple of years ago. This will give me more ideas on doing something maybe a little different.
Very basic tutorials. This book was very short, and did not tell me anything I did not already know. I think this would be for a beginner, like a 5 year old if she used smaller words. I am sorry I wasted my money. I think this is a complete rip-off. Some people will be drawn in by the word recycle in the title, but anyone who ever tried making paper beads knows that you can use old magazines or any other recycled paper to make your beads. Please do not waste your money on this book. There are too many good books out there for paper bead making.
If you ever tried recycled crafts like making homemade envelopes and quilling, this may remind you of those early days of making things out of paper which you already had on hand. I'm sure that you could also use these directions with purchased papers (just like you can for other paper crafts) to create far more elaborate crafts.

As the product description notes, this is not a lengthy book. It's a short book that describes a single method of creating paper beads. I would have liked to have read a bit more about variations using this method, and that's the one reason why I gave this book only three stars. It was good as far as it went, but I would have liked to have read a bit more on the subject.

I confess that I haven't yet tried making the beads per the directions in the booklet, but the directions are clear and concise. This crafting idea could easily be used by groups of all ages who want to do something a little different for their next meeting. (I can see where adult supervision would be needed for younger children, though.) I plan to use what I've read and recycle a few of the spring seed catalogues that have been arriving in the mail the last month or so. If you have an interest in paper crafts and making jewelry, then this book should appeal to you.
I guess you get what you pay for. For under $4 I received just about that much information. Searching the internet (free) provided more written and pictorial information regarding making paper beads. This e-book was very, very basic. Focused on only one shape of bead. If I had a chance to review this book prior to my internet search, I would not have ordered it. I will stick to ordering craft books that are from well-know publishers as I am able to search and obtain more concise information for basically just the cost of my time.
